Weill family commits $100 million for West Coast cancer hub

Wellcome awards $13.2 million to boost African genomics, health equity
The £10 million investment will launch GEN-IMPACT, an Africa-led initiative that aims to advance African genomics and health equity. A collaboration between the African Population Cohorts Consortium, hosted by the Science for Africa Foundation, and the African Bioinformatics Institute, the initiative aims to close the human genomic data gap and harness the genetic diversity of Africa to improve health outcomes….

Boston Children’s Hospital receives $100 million gift
The gift from Rob and Karen Hale—the largest in the Massachusetts health system’s history—will support behavioral health initiatives and fund a new building at its Franciscan Children’s hospital in Brighton. Yale Medicine receives $27.7 million from Sergey Brin autism nonprofit
The award to the Yale School of Medicine from the Brin-backed Aligning Research to Impact Autism will fund research leveraging AI to create “digital twins” of human brains to advance personalized, non-invasive treatments for people with autism spectrum disorder. In 2025, Brin also awarded more than $1 billion to his own Catalyst4 nonprofit that in part funds neurodegenerative disease research….
